Ever heard of the term “web traffic” or “traffic generator”? These terms are commonly associated with websites that help you get “hits” (or in lay man’s term, clicks) on your own personal page.

How does it work, and why does it work?

Signing up in traffic generator websites is beneficial only for those who have websites. You will have to “surf” (visit several websites that have signed up too on that traffic generator site) and earn credits. These traffic generator website prevent bots from permeating their system through manual surfing. Some websites like Hit Safari require you to click on animals (see example below):

This entails for manual clicking (no bots allowed). You have to click on the matching animal (encircled in red).

Like I have mentioned earlier, the website below the orange frame are websites that have signed up for a Hit safari account (they change every time you click on the animal). Your registered website too will be displayed here. The more you click on the animals, the more “credits” you get. You can use these credits for banner making and other site promotion techniques.

Some drug companies are getting criticisms these days because of an alleged unfair marketing strategy. This is in the form of buying prescription practices from physicians and using them as in formulating new marketing plans.

Azstarnet.com, the online service of Arizona Daily Star, reports that a bill that will make it illegal for drug companies to buy detailed prescription practices from doctors for marketing purposes is being considered by Washington’s state legislators.

Other states such as Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine have also passed laws that aim to restrict or ban similar practice. However, in New Hampshire and Maine, the laws were challenged by pharmaceutical companies justifying that physicians can always decline the offer and some federal judges listened to them.

Multi-level marketing is a kind of marketing practice that uses connection or network in doing business. It is also commonly known as network or matrix marketing. It is a form of selling goods and services through distributors and recruits.

The profit from multi-level marketing comes from commissions. The commission of a multi-level marketer can come from two sources: their own sales and the sales of their recruits. The whole process continues up to the last recruit.

The strength of multi-level marketing lies in the distributors and their ability to get recruits. The more recruits you have, the more profit youll get. It is just a matter of utilizing your communication and persuasion skills.
